With Puma Ulimited’s, Sky hi and Sky II’s, First Round S, L an even LX it’s real nice to see another hi-top offering from Puma… at least this one is a bit different in having have a much more 80’s silhouette to it (not a surprise considering its an 80’s re-release). The Slipstream Monster edition is a real dogs dinner of what Puma describes as “intimidating” new colours, faux horse hair leopard skin pattern fabric and reptile, stingray and ostrich emboss prints – a puma zoo I think, two colours ways already on sale and limited edition black and red on the way for Christmas.

Also up for next year is a release of the first round vulc, as the name suggest a version of the ubiquitous first round with a vulcanised rubber sole.

I’ll eat my words: when I wrote about nike releasing snowboard boots back in January the nike snow force 1,  I thought it was just like Adidas’s two much hyped “we’re entering the snowboard market” that never materialised. Nikes last attempt of releasing their ACG brand boots on the snow market went down like a slap from a wet fish, it remains to be seen how these will be received. The production zooms (no called snow force) are not quite like the “snow force” previews we saw in January. Two styles currently seem to have hit the shops, with the nike snowboard site showing a few other ways and touting “This team inspired instant classic mealy sets the stage for the future of nike snowboarding”, perhaps their not expecting many sales either. I’m sticking with my 32’s, but nike did manage to get skaters to wear sb’s after years of marketing and puma have managed to infiltrate the bmx market with first rounds!… “who’d a thort”

It was the Bexley and Bexley Heir now it’s the Enduro, why? because it’s two years old? who knows, it’s still a great shoe; and the ‘Heir’ title will probably still be lost on 50% of those that wear them.
